Happy Halloween! by whidbychick

Stay safe!

Watch out for children!

And save some candy for me!

Date June 6, 2009…

Using my children, my mission was to take the most AMAZING children’s beach photography picture that I would have other families lining up to hire me.

Instead I got this…

Hmmm, not exactly what I had envisioned.  Ashamed that I didn’t capture something better,  this session’s pictures never made it off my hard drive.

Fast forward 3 1/2 years…

I have a business.  I have clients even without amazing beach photographs.  One of my goals this year was to get more pictures of my family in my house.  Today a 20×30 canvas arrived on my doorstep.  I ordered it about a week and 1/2 ago, and almost forgot that I did.

I LOVE IT!

The purpose was to drive business my way, but BETTER THAN THAT… I have an AMAZING portait for my home.

How’s THAT!  What a difference a few years make!

SIDE NOTE:  I am so in love with these canvases, (I have canvases from other companies, and they are not the quality of these.) LOOK SOON FOR A CANVAS PACKAGE SPECIAL because they are SOOOOO beautiful.  You need to have such beautiful canvases in your home too!

 October 22nd UPDATE:

Someone told me they wanted to book me, but they were afraid of committed to spending a minimum of $350 without seeing the pictures. I understand. I am extending the $42 session fee SPECIAL until tomorrow…

NO MINIMUM ORDER.

Okay… not my normal post, but when do I ever do normal stuff.  This morning I had something I wanted to share.

A lot of time, when bad things happen, I hear people say… “I guess God just wanted it this way,” or “I guess that’s just God’s plan.

But I don’t believe that.

I believe that one of God’s greatest gifts was the gift of FREE WILL.  Which in the very plainest of terms is this,

MAN HAS THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE GOOD OR EVIL.

If something is of evil, and it’s in this world, it’s because someone has chosen to create bring that into the world.  As “no man is an island”, our choices do effect others.  And how far those effects, only God knows.

If something BAD happens, I don’t think that was God’s plans.  It was due to the choice of someone’s actions or inactions.

But the part God DOES have is this… God makes bad situations good.

Psalm 23

The LORD, the Psalmist’s Shepherd.

    A Psalm of David.

 1 The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is my backyard.

Figuratively… this bayou backs up to my neighborhood.

(These flowers always remind me of “Horton Hears a Who”.)

Love these types of… what I think is a type of ‘Morning Glory’… I really don’t know the names of these flowers.  I suppose I could look them up in a book or on the internet, but I’m too lazy, (actually I think I’m fighting a cold or something and am just a little run down.)

These have sprung up due to all the rain we finally had this weekend.  It’s amazing what life there is out there.

Truly I really need to go back and study my wildflower names because I’m drawing a blank… that said, they sure are purty.

See ya!
